Social Groups
We are passionate about working with individuals on their social skills and opening up opportunities for them to learn, practice and engage in these skills while building peer relationships. We do this in a small group setting and through real-life experiences by going on outings in the community.
Engaging children, bringing them out of their comfort zones, and teaching them about peer collaboration and encouragement in a small-group setting creates a safe and low-pressure environment to practice their skills.
Goals and skills will vary by age group but can include: appropriate adult and peer interactions in a variety of settings, real-life social skills and experiences, being flexible with undesirable outcomes, compromising, problem solving, respecting personal space, listening, following instructions, and more!
